I would recommend having your defense mods ranked up to at least 6 or 7 if you want to solo voids with anything that isn't one shoting everything.City of Heroes is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game developed by Cryptic Studios based on comic-book style superheroes. Having the gear you need, and the consumables you need is half the battle.Īs others have said corrosive/cold is bread and butter for most all weapons, barring shotguns imo, which would run corrosive/fire with blaze. I've just barely missed the 50 min mark a few times. The best I've been able to do on my own is the 45 min tier reward in t4 survival. Soloing in the void isn't a waste of keys at all, if you have good gear. Key here is to find a way to keep the heat down when you have to activate life support. This one is trickier, getting to life support isn't always easy with hordes of enemies in your face, and when you activate life support, it takes a few seconds, this can be a death sentence for crowded rooms or later on in longer runs, as you take full damage while activating LS. I'd recommend finding capsules that are in easily defended areas, but really, all of the capsules are in locations that just scream "shoot me!" so realistically just be rhino, as I've found iron skin is a great way to not die while activating life support, and his base defense is excellent, but nyx could work too between chaos and absorb, and I'm sure you can think of a lot of other options, but mag strikes me as kindof a bad choice for tower defense. Be able to get to life support and get out quickly When LS gets too low, break out your best defenses and go! Probably a good idea to mod your warframe defensively too. This is defense, not exterminate, find a defensible position and wait it out, don't hesitate to just run away if a particular room looks too heated, or to draw the enemy into a doorway so they can't surround you and crowd up, then splash damage attack spam them all and bask in the warm glow of all those bright blue numbers of victory. getting anywhere easily defendable near a capsule is probably your best bet. Lots of the enemies in tower have high armor, and if you don't have a reliable weapon to deal with that, you're not going to get through it alone unless you're relying heavily on skills. I tried doing a tower mission with my ogris once, that didn't go so well. If you really, really insist on going solo (not a good idea, waste of keys, I'm telling you) then I'd say: Well there's your problem, get some friends from recruiting and things will go much better! They get a free tower run and you get to survive longer. Blasting through a door at full tilt and running into 4 corrupted heavy gunners is A Bad Thing. Laser traps can be deadly, even to heavily forma'd 'frames. It's easy to stumble into traps and ugly ambushes in the void. If you do have issues, they can save your run.ĭON'T RUSH. Mag doesn't have much health, so you have to keep your shields up.īring consumables and use them. Regen your shields (and blow up drones) with shield polarize. You must spam pull to keep enemies off balance and to weaken or kill them if possible. Void exterminates are going to swarm you with enemies. Frankly, if you don't have the mods to build elemental combos, you probably shouldn't be in the void. If you can only run one, run electric or toxic. Your loadout for facing corrupted should be corrosive damage with cold to help with the shields. Granted, the orokin drones are everywhere, but their shield buff isn't particularly large. These aren't optional for higher level play, which is what the void missions are.ĭon't mod for shield damage in the void. A lot of your power comes from having 60 units of mod energy on both warframe and your weapons of choice. Mag isn't ideal for soloing void missions, but T1s should be no issue IF constructed properly.įirstly, yeah, you need potatoes on your stuff.
